Project Space is San Diego County Office of Education’s 4th annual project management conference, a one-day virtual event created for K-12 I.T. staff who want to transform how they work on or manage projects. This conference brings together K-12 tech teams from California and beyond to provide project management tips and shareouts. Whether you lead projects, participate in project teams, or support project work behind the scenes, Project Space offers a fun, practical, and highly interactive way to learn techniques you can apply right away. Join the K-12 project management movement!- When: Friday, June 27, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (PST)
- Where: Online via Zoom (easy to join, wherever you are – we highly recommend that you participate from a quiet space where you can have your camera on)
- Audience: K-12 I.T. Staff - if you work in other areas of K-12 education, we welcome your participation
- Who should come:
- If you lead projects
- If you work on and/or support projects
- If you manage a team and are responsible for shaping/influencing how work gets done
- Cost: $75 – includes access to the event plus a mailed conference kit
- Theme: "Project Space: Total Project Success." We're taking it back to late 90s, early 2000s computing, cubicles, Y2K, red staplers, flair, and more.
- Registration Window: May 1 - June 13, 2025 (register by May 22 to be eligible for an early bird prize!)


Here is what our day will look like:

- Everyone attends Opening Session and Closing Session
- You pick 4 sessions to attend at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 2 pm - please see the Schedule for details
- The sessions are organized around four tracks: (1) How to Do It, (2) How They Did It, (3) How to Lead It, (4) How to Change It - feel free to "hop tracks"
- Spotlight shareouts from Cardiff School District and Loudoun County Public Schools, plus our popular Game Time at lunch
- Have some fun while you learn…contests and prizes are on the agenda (thank you, CITE, CA County Superintendents Technology Services Committee, and Info-Tech Research)
- NOTE: If you’re brand new to project management or would like a refresher, all conference attendees are encouraged to attend a free, online “Intro to Project Management” half-day training two weeks before the conference on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to noon (PST) – click here for details and registration
